New Zealand Bat DVD
BATTLING EXTINCTION
Fighting for our forgotten mammals
Our two bat species are on the downwards spiral to extinction. Unless something is done soon they will disappear forever. The odds are stacked against them. Predators and extensive habitat damage have meant they are just holding on in tiny pockets around the country.
This DVD highlights the work and research being undertaken around the country to learn more about our bats and raise awareness with footage from Eglinton Valley in Fiordland, Pureora Forest Park and from Auckland.
The film was made by Sarah Cull-Luketina as part of a Masters degree in Natural History Filmmaking at the University of Otago.
